  • Toasted nuts or seeds of any kind for salads (pistachios, sunflower, pumpkin, pine nuts, slivered almonds)

  • Homemade tehina (add some dill, parsley, lemon juice, and chia seeds)

  • Homemade chimchurri  (coriander, parsley, garlic in the food processor for a yummy spread)

  • Homemade salsa

  • Lots of lemons and limes for yummy water & dressings

  • High-quality olive oil (organic cold pressed- some moshavim have olive presses for you to press your own- got a tree?), coconut oil, sesame seed oil

  • Spelt flour, oat flour (grind your own from whole oats with an electric coffee grinder)

  • Coarse Atlantic sea salt (should be gray and moist)

  • Maple syrup or unbleached organic cane sugar (when sugar is needed)

  • Spelt pasta, quinoa, buckwheat, brown rice, wild rice, lentils

  • Pistachios, cashews, almonds, walnuts, peanuts- any nuts!

  • No-added-sugar dried fruit (yum for dates, pineapple, & ginger!)

  • Stone ground oats (great for oatmeal or for grinding into flour)

  • Seasonal fresh fruits

  • Goat or Greek yogurt- plain with no added sugar or flavoring

  • Preservative-free mozzeralla cheese or goat cheeses 

  • Citrus juicer for fresh fruit juices or invest in a Vitamix, for awesome veggie-fruit blends that make great meal substitutes

  • Organic cage-free eggs from a trusted farm

  • Pure peanut butter (b&d or any organic brand)
